Lil Guillows F-16 Build-n-show E-conversion


okay here comes another i also posted in scale for theres a few overthere that do'nt visit the jets forum,this is the third of 3,the f-15 being the first,f-14 still in progress(waitng on 4.5 servos for swing wing mech.) the f-15 weighed in at 4 1/8 oz. and i estimate the f-14 to be a bit more with added servos and mech. for the wing 5oz. max,but this lil hummer is not only going to be light but as bullet proof as i can get it with replacement of all stringers with .050 CFrod i'll use the same cd-rom motor but go from 2s1p700 to a 3s1pHD340's,thats 11.1 at my disposal now as compared to the 7.4,duration is'nt a big factor cause after about 3-4min. your looking to land and catch your breath anyway

thanks gazza,the motor is a home brew cd-rom,the prop is a gws 3x3

okay everyone back at it,been doing that ic thing for the summer f-16 being fitted with the cd-rom motor,papermate flex grip pen cap makes a beautiful mount for the cd-rom will being doing a 2s1p appogee 830 and a 3s1p340 kok high dis for fuel cell,i run the 3s1p in my f-15 with the feiago bl and get real manageable speed and duration,the feiago is a little warm as is the batt,nothing out of the ordinary thou, i had this cd-rom motor in the f-15 running a 2s1p e-tec700 and could'nt go past half throt the lil sucker was too fast! it's not the speed that was the problem it was the airframe in the f-15,i did'nt build per mach-3 but now the f-16 is built to be put thru the ringer i'll post progress as it comes,looking to be done in a couple of evenings,take care,later,john

Very nice job, did you ever compare the new Feigao 1208436 with your CD-Rom motor?

cyberfly, as far as a comparison,nothing technical mind you,the cd-rom motor has way more power! i'd say twice the power!+ the cd-rom motor is instatanious,meaning that when you apply throt you get throt! the feiago is more of a gentle pickup if you will but comes up to step real nice and gradual, the cd-rom motor is more torquey,hope you understand hucksbein: got the cf-rods from the lhs
