11-Jan-2020 F5J Results

Nice turn-out and weather today, but lift was elusive in early rounds. Brad, John, and Randy all flew consistent, with Brad scoring 50 landings in every round. Brad and John actually tied down to a tenth of a point, with the tie breaker decided by the dropped round score. Have not seen this in F5J.

1 JUNTUNEN, Brad - 4997.4
2 ARMSTRONG, John - 4997.4
3 WEST, Randy - 4944.8
4 RIZOR, Justin - 4641.7
5 LACROIX, Ed - 4428.8
6 WOLFE, Lee - 4296.7
7 DENNIS, Patrick - 4185.5 (1st woody)
8 MILLER, Corky - 4155.5 (2nd woody)
9 WHITAKER, Dave - 4046.7 (3rd woody)
10 VELLEMAN, Jim - 3927.4 (4th woody)
11 GLITHERO, Iain - 3360.3 (5th woody)
12 BRISTER, Philip - 2156.6
13 ROLLO, Ford - 236.9

Elliot Bowl F3RES Saturday Jan-25th

9:00 AM start time with sunny skies and a scorching high of 72-degrees. John will have his new LED clock there!

This will be an official rules F3RES event, and teams will be created and the contest seeded at the field on Saturday. If you want someone on your team just mention that in the post, otherwise pilots will be split up based on F3RES experience to even out the teams.

This will be a 6-round event with a 9-minute flight window and a 6-minute flight task. There is no limit on relaunches. Hope to see many of you there.

PILOTS
John Armstrong
Corky Miller
Bob Parks
Lee Wolfe
Randy West
Philip Brister

F3K at the Elliot Bowl on Saturday Feb 8th

F3K at the Elliot Bowl is back by popular demand!

Saturday February 8th with a pilot meeting at 8:30 am and flying starting around 9:00 am.

Changes for 2020

> Flight times are recorded to 1/10th second
> One minute of no flying before each window
> Task D is now 2 flights only in a 10 minute window with a 5 minute max. No more Little Ladder
> Task E (Poker) now with no more than 3 scoring flights instead of 5
> Task L (new) is 1 flight only in a 10 minute window
> Task M (new) is like the Big Ladder, but with only 3 launches and a 3, 5, and 7 min max in a 15 minute window

New and Revised 2020 F3K ...

Tasks:

1. G (5x2)
2. K (Big Ladder)
3. H (1,2,3,4 minutes)
4. D (Two flights, 5 min max)
5. F (Best of 6)
6. L (One flight only)
7. C (AULD x3)
8. M (Huge Ladder - 3, 5, 7 minute flights in order in 15 min window)
9. E (Poker, 3 flights max)
10. B (Last 3 x 3 min max)

Scorecards will have a QR code, like in F5J, so bring your phones.

Cheers, Charles
