question for the moderator

I hope I am not out of line using this thread to ask this question but others may be frustrated by this problem also.

Ever since the up-grade I have not been able to use the quick reply mode on this forum, I never had a problem with it in the past, something must have changed, is there a different proceedure in place for it's use or am I not using it properly.

Thanks,

Ef

If you're reading this, the Quick Reply IS working, at least for me.

If I use the " new reply " mode it gets posted, but when I try to use the " quick reply " mode I can type the message ok and move the cursor to the send reply box but when I klick on it it refuses to send the message.

That's strange Moe, check out the bug reporting forum and report your problem, also site suggestions, complaints. One thing I've seen is that members need to clear out thier caches on their browsers. I'm using netscape and the quick reply to type this.

re: Question to the Moderator

Don,

Thanks for the reply, I don't have a clue about the cause of my reply problem but if you guys are not having trouble with it then the glitch has to be on my end, I have no complaints or do I have any suggestions that would make this forum any better except maybe better security features to keep the spamers from getting our e-mail addresses, but it may be too big a problem for a quick fix.
All I can say is Thank you to the administrators, staff and moderaters for providing us with a great information source filled not only with how-to stuff but also with a good deal of humor and comraderie.

Thanks again,

Ef

Moe, the user cannot send a reply to threads using the 'quick reply' box at the bottom of the discussion like the one right under this message from me. I'm only aware of 2 or 3 users who have had this problem, and folks are trying to help make suggestions of how to narrow down what his problem might be on his computer that is causing this issue.

Sincerely,
Mrs. AnnMarie Cross

Moe,

To clear cache, if you are using windows, do the following:

1 close all browser windows
2 open control panel
3 then internet options
4 click the clear history button
5 click the delete files button, check the box and confirm
6 if you want/need to, click the delete cookies also, but you will have to
sign back in to rcgroups after this

see if that helps,
David
