September 2014 Los Alamos Rocket Day

As part of the 2014 Los Alamos ScienceFest, the Zia Spacemodelers launched multiple 10 rocket sorties at the top of every hour from 11 to 4.

The Los Alamos Aeromodelers were invited to set up a static display of planes and give flight demonstrations in between rocket launches. We had dozens of visitors to our booth. There was a lot of interest in our models and many questions were answered such as "How high?", "How far?", "How fast?" and "How much?". The six club members who manned the booth and answered questions were Tom, Ross, RayM, Mark, RayG, and Marc.

This was a great community event and drew a crowd that also had interest in model aircraft. On behalf of the Los Alamos Aeromodelers I'd like to thank Zia Spacemodelers for the opportunity to participate.
