I don't get you guys setting up your jets to roll like a top. That is a total rookie move. Watch the good pilots fly and you will see some take the entire length of there field to roll 1 time. Slow rolls show precision between pilot and jet. I know some of you think it looks cool to roll fast but the other pilots are laughing at you

My good buddy has placed top 3 at nationals in pattern....we’re always ragging on each other. I tell him to learn to throw the sticks around some and he tells me to get my plane/heli back under control. |

The beauty of the hobby is that we all have our flying preferences. I don't think there's really a "right" or "wrong" per se (unless your flying style or lack of skill causes crashes or damage to person or property)...For me I personally prefer scale flying (i.e. slower roll rate, smooth transitions). But if someone wants a blender for their roll rate, go for it!

I'll gladly admit that I don't have the skill to perform a coordinated slow roll well enough to try it at low height. I fly within my limitations. Maybe I'll learn if I practice, but I just fly for fun and with no aim to my flying mostly.

You're not alone. I've been flying for over two decades and I still can't execute the flawless 4-point slow roll. A smooth roll is good enough for me. My Bucket List skill however would be the Harrier Roll. I spent dozens of hours trying to get that down for 3D and I just couldn't get it. So frustrating!

Yep again it's what makes the hobby so fun. The diversity...There's something for everyone. I can see how the same 3D maneuvers over and over again would get old quick.

The awesome thing in this hobby is that everyone can fly like they want (within certain limitations of course).
It irks me like crazy to see guys take scale models and paint red wing tips or other non scale paint markings. But, it's the owners choice. It's not my model. We all like what we like. Individual preference. Anyway... Go fly this weekend! However you like. Chris |

So true Chris! I must admit I have that Scale Police part of me I have to keep in check, lol. What one person covets another could give a rip about. In fact, it would be awfully boring if we all flew the same, had the same model(s), had the same likes and dislikes...Bleck, no thanks. Just enjoy how you like to fly and what turns your prop in the hobby and have fun!

I have seen some of the Arctic Aggressors with a bronze/gold exhaust and I really like the look of it so I painted mine today. My former models had it too.

Hey guys, I have my HSD F16 , 105EDF ready to maiden, but ONLY the elevator is moving the wrong direction on GYRO (It's set up correctly on my elevator stick). How do I reverse the GYRO Elevator, the HSD Gyro has no dip switches, so I can't figure out what needs to be done to revese it. Any Ideas?

I would highly suggest not using the old HSD gyros. They were discontinued long ago for several reasons, one being this.

This describes me to a T! I have great respect to those that can fly these precision maneuvers and wish I had to time and patience to learn.

Pretty much me as well. Unless I plan on flying competitively like in Top Gun or something I am perfectly fine with my slightly above average flying skills thank you very much.
