Propdrive V2 380kv

After much testing, the best prop I found for the Rimfire 1.20 on 6s was a Falcon 16X10 carbon. That gave me the best duration vs. performance.
I switched to a Tacon 110 on 8s running an 18X12 apc and that was great but the Tacon weighed 5.1 ounces more than the Rimfire for just the motor.
I recently installed a Propdive V2 380kv. This motor is only 17 grams (.6oz) more than the Rimfire.
On 8s and running the Falcon 16X10 Iím getting 150 more rpm than the Rimfire but at only 67 amps. My goal is to increase the load to 74 to 78 amps.
Right now it looks like this combination should give me around 7 minutes plus a 1000mah reserve on 8s 5200s. This will be perfect for learning the new Advanced maneuvers.

Guys, how big prop you can run with Sequence without risking hitting ground?

Local store has a bargain on Sequence. I'm really considering it, but the weight vs. 6S power issue makes me wonder... I've got plenty of 5000mAh 6S batteries for my ~70" 3D planes and coincidentally I'm also running Propdrive V2 380kv on one of them, but with big prop... Will 19" be ok? Just trying to understand my motor options.

You can easily run a 20 to 21 inch prop on this thing.
I've gone back to running my Tacon 110 with an 18X12 prop.
This has nice pulling power on long up lines.
The Sequence does nice snaps and spins.
It does all of the 2018-19 Advanced maneuvers very well.
I'm considering a lightweight 10s setup, as it wouldn't weigh much more than my current heavy 8s system.

I'm gonna get back to flying my Sequence. Recently sold my 2M Vanquish so I am left with my Sequence, which I love. It's just too heavy! I have the RimFire 1.20 on mine on 6S. Forget which prop I am running at the moment... I want to say it's the XOAR 16-12. Just need more flight time. I average only 4.5 minutes. Debating about swapping to an 8S system... but I am not sure what motor would be best.

Subscribed. I picked up a BNIB Sequence 1.20 this summer. Actually, it's a plain white factory evaluation unit. I'll probably go with a RF 1.20 and really high C 6s batteries.

This is a pattern plane high C batteries are not required, "really high" C batteries are definitely not required ! - even pulling 90A is only 18C - I don't use any more than 25C batteries. Any more is just unnecessary additional expense and weight.

+1 totally agree. 25C is plenty for a F3A setup
