Looking for a battery charger for a 4 cell NiMH

I just ordered an 800 mAH battery from Art Hobby.

It is a NiMH - AAA cells (Japan), 2x2 cell - long flat pack.

I was told that the "HiTec 44165 X1 AC Plus Single Port 6 Amp AC/DC Charger (NiCd/NiMH/LiPo)" works but is there something less expensive? This sucker breaks my bank since I fly every now and then.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

This one is about as cheap as it gets for a Smart Charger, you would also need a 12-18 V ~5 amp power supply, it does include charge leads that would work for Rx packs.

Wow! That is "cheap"! Thanks!

Will this (or that HiTec stop charging when it reaches full charge)?

Yes they both would have "Auto" NiMH modes to peak charge your pack.

Here is a power supply that would work. You might have one laying around for an old laptop or something similiar.

The more expensive one is a name brand "Hitec" and it has a built in power supply but other than that they are both basic 50 watt chargers that will do the same charging modes.

If you fly any lipos or plan to fly any lipos a 50 watt charger is probably a little small, I use a ~1300 watt charger but charge multiple large lipos in parallel. In any case I still have a 50 watt charger that I use for a variety of small charging tasks including charging my 12v Lead acid field box battery, charging nicad glow drivers, and charging small lipos for micro planes.

Anyone know anything about this charger?

It is 80 watt and less expensive than the discussed Hitek.
