Very cool progress Ethan! Is school interfering with your build at all?

Subscribed!! I have about 500 hours flying the real JS-31. It has been almost 14 years ago that I flew them. I have been wanting to build one of these birds ever since. But, I have too many other projects in the works.

Nice work! I used to work on these for United Express back in the late eighties! Great airplanes with Garrett TPE3100UG turboshafts. The unusual thing I thought about them at the time was that both props turn the same direction. The ice shields are placed in different places on each side of the fuse and the paint on them sure took a beating...

Moving forward towards the tip of the nose.

I decided to go with clear plastic-backed windows like I did on my pre-crashed Metroliner except I got the nose shape right this time
Still some spackling and sanding to do but I am happy with how things are turning out. Next, I will finish the very back end and cut out the wings! Ethan |

Lookin good!
Correction from my last post, they were Garrett TPE 331-10UG engines. If I remember correctly, they had 4 bladed props turning ccw as viewed from the rear (yeah, backwards from most of our normal model props...). I'll try to research and confirm that though, because I am a bit dyslexic. If you put the baggage pod on the belly, don't forget to include a case of The Macallan 12yo single malt scotch inside. We got new planes and they were all delivered with a case of scotch with special BAe Jetstream 31 labels that feature theJetstream 31! Edit: I checked and they are ccw rotation as viewed from the rear. I haven't had much luck with right hand threads rotating lefty to use a tractor prop as a pusher. Maybe you can find a left hand thread prop adapter for your motors and use pushers as tractors... |

Thanks guys!
Thanks for the info loopy1, interesting story about the belly pod The only kick that will be stored in my baggage pod will be a LiPo :P I think I will simply use standard rotation for my motors I need to keep this bird simple to get her flying before the weather becomes too unpredictable. |
