Thanks for the Plans, it looks like it flies superbly. What is the weight so far? I'm thinking it might be cool to modify it to a Yak-15 with light retracts.

Weight to fly is 1000g.
Wingspan 1170mm
length 1100mm
CoG is 115mm from the leading edge, next to fuselage
I'm thinking about covering her with paper, because foam is very soft for scratches in landing.
The difference between Yak-15 and Yak-17 is only in retracts. (I didn't add front wheel yet in the model.)

I'm sorry. I forgot about maiden flight. This is a mandatory step in scratch build.

I've finished model. I've made pilot and canopy, and added external fuel tanks.
Canopy is from SIG: part number is SIGWC811

Very nice work. I like how you fly close to the camera.

Exactly, it is insulation foam 5,5mm and some 3mm, but it is XPS foam, like depron.

How low can you go?

I just got my 90-100 amp esc so I guess I will have to get started sometime soon on the build! Thinking of going with a 70mm ChangeSun fan unit with a 4s setup and glassing the airframe. Not quite sure what I want for a motor but will be finding out very soon!!!

Have fun in the clouds,

Rob
