So that's a fuselage; the minimum structure to stop the tailplane overtaking the wings

Just 1/2 inch aluminum channel. Sometimes the tail feathers look like a fat lady doing a Hula dance, though. I've also managed to get the tail in front (unintentionally)

It's easy to get the tail in front of the wing..............that's called a "waterfall" and is real easy with this plane. With oversized control surfaces, it is truly amaizing I can even get a harrier and do a little prop hanging. Got to love it. Best thing is that it will still dead stick real well, ask me how I know

Aren't there any designed as canard spads. The idea of a fat lady doing a hula dance is aesthetically disturbing to someone such as me, who has led a sheltered existance

Sorta like an ugly nudist living next door?

You can design anything your heart desires. Some guys are using plastic bats (baseball style) for a fuse. I've seen a canard version of that as a pusher.

Spadet LC-40

Soloed a few weeks after finishing it. 6-1/4 lbs. ($9.18 for coroplast & PVC gutter downspout - still lots left over) (Used 2 whole tubes of Household Goop on it.) To see step-by-step construction: http://photos.yahoo.com/chkacin Click on picture, select "slideshow" on the left side of the screen. Brief description below photos.

You know, that is one really pretty bird balsa, and I really (really) liked your build slideshow. That plane just looks... I dunno.. "clean." Maybe it's all the white.

It was exciting seeing how simple one of these babies is to put together, as long as you measure twice and cut once.

Wufnu, thanks for the comments. I was wondering if anybody would go to the trouble of viewing my build slideshow. Thanks for taking the time.
