Hi.... i was wonder for those of you who use the lathe to make the can/stand for the motor... what kind of metal are u using??? Or aluminum chunk? and where can i buy them in the US? Any site with tip on how to make them would be helpful....

I use Aluminum round stock. I buy it at a metal supply dealer. In my area it's called "Metal By The Foot", Do a google or phone book search for metal stock. Another option would be to get the custom bells from gobrushless.com when they are ready.
