Course setting six flight modes on Radiolink AT10 with APM unit
-----------Curve program mixing setting
As a new launched 10channel remote control system, AT10 has reasonable layout switches, convenient operation, strengthened function, especially the Chinese menu; all of these are compatible for domestic user. The unit is of telemetry function, is positioned as high grade control. Additionally, by mixed programming, AT10 can be set six flight modes with APM unit. In this thesis we use a two section switch and a three section switch to set six-way mode. We would like to recommend this very AT10 for flying APM unit.
Letís know it works when changed among different flight modes. APM unit will have many flight modes, while only six modes can be set at one time. The mentioned modes will be set by the input channel 5. Different from general control set by switch value, APM recognizes by the PWM data input from the receiver. These data will be contained in the range 1~1230, 1231~1360, 1361~1490, 1490~1620, 1621~ 1749, above 1750. The data is estimated by us. As the output data is concerned in to these regions, we can set a corresponding flight mode. To avoid the PWM data closing to the critical value, this will cause a mis-operation in changing flight modes. So we would like to suggest the following figures: 1165,1295,1425,1555,1685,1815

一、 Basic setting
Before the six-way section switch of APM unit is set, we need some basic setting on the radio:
(1) Set the type ACROBASIC to make every channel outputs separately
(2) Name the channel switch
(3) Set channel reverse
Below is instructions in detail of basic setting.
1. Setting ACROBASIC mode
Open the transmitter, press and hold the key MODE to enter basic menu, shift the navigation key to PARAMETER.

After the basic setting is finished, now we can set the six flight modes of AT10. Connect the receiver R10D with APM unit and computer, and bind the receiver and transmitter.

Below is the way setting 6 flight modes:
1. Setting thinking
We use curve mixed control mode, with the three-way switch C, we can get three different ratio data while set MIX-P on one time (by setting two section switch B), accordingly three different rudder, to get three different flight mode. With mixing control by the two section switch B, we can have another three different flight mode.
Main thinking shown below:
1) Keep switch B the position UP while PROG MIX is OFF. Set three modes by a three-way switch. Limited by midpoint of rudder, we can only set mode 1, mode 4 and mode 6, setting the data of rudder the relative signal value through END POINT and SUB-TRIM.
Below listed switch position with the corresponding mode
B(UP)+C(UP) Mode 1
B(UP)+C(CENTER) Mode 4
B(UP)+C(DOWN) Mode 6
B(DOWN)+C(UP) Mode 2
B(DOWN)+C(CENTER) Mode 3
B(DOWN)+C(DOWN) Mode 5

2.1 Mode 1, Mode 4 and Mode 6 setting
Power on the transmitter, press the key MODE to enter basic menu, and press another time to enter Advanced menu, enter PROG.MIX by pressing the key PUSH. Choose CURVE 5 and press PUSH to enter, then follow the below listed steps to set.

(1) Press PUSH key to enter P.MIX5 curve, and set MIX ON. MAS and SLV shall be set as CH5. SW set as SwB and POSI DOWN.

(2) Push the switch B to the position UP, switch C CENTER, to set SUB-TRIM (SUB-TRIM shall be set before other parameters to prevent the whole data migration) to a data of Mode 4.
Under basic menu, drift the navigation key to SUB-TRIM, then press the key PUSH to enter, and then shift the navigation key to channel 5 GEAR. Set the data of PWM in the MP ground station interface to 1550, and the Gear ratio 46%.

(3) END POINT setting, to mode one and mode six
In the main interface, shift the navigation key to END POINT, and press PUSH to enter. Push the switch B to the position UP and switch C UP, set a ratio data of END POINT by driving plate. Now the data of PWM in the MP ground station interface will change to 1164, and the ratio data shall be 75%. Mode 1 is now finished setting. Then push the switch C to the position DOWN, set a ratio data of END POINT by driving plate. Now the data of PWM inn the MP ground station interface will change to 1815, and the ratio data shall be 48%. Mode 6 is now finished setting.

In the main interface, press MODE to enter basic menu, and press one more time to enter advanced menu, then shift the navigation key to the submenu PROG.MIX, and then press the key PUSH to enter. Shift the navigation key to MIX5 curve, and press the key PUSH to enter.

(1) Push the switch B to the position DOWN while mixing status on, and then push the switch C to the position UP, and shift the navigation key to point 1, then set a data of mode 2 from the driving plate. Now the data of PWM in the MP ground station interface will change to 1295, and the ratio data of mode 2 shall be -32%. Mode 2 is now finished setting.
(2) Push the switch C to the position CENTER, and shift the navigation key to the point 3, then set a data of mode 3 from the driving plate. Now the data of PWM in the MP ground station interface will change to 1425, and the ratio data of mode 3 shall be +37%. Mode 3 is now finished setting.
(3) Push the switch C to the position DOWN, and shift the navigation key to the point 5, then set a data of mode 5 from the driving plate. Now the data of PWM in the MP ground station interface will change to 1685, and the ratio data of mode 5 shall be +50%. Mode 5 is now finished setting.
(4) set the ratio of point 2 and 4, to smooth the transition among different mode, and make point 1 and 3, point 3 and 5 linearization.

6 flight modes. But crashed


Did all that. Got 6 flight modes. Powered up drone. Turned over and crashed. 😢. What did I do wrong. ?? Should I have reverted from acrobatic mode to multiroter?
