Thread OP
Cool! Looking for a fan for my F-100. I am looking for 17-18lbs at 110-115amps on12s which looks to be very doable with this fan with the right motor.

Hi,
we are doing 8mm chuck type collet, even that our rotor system complete with spinner is around 145 Gramms only, we want to have the security of an solid 8mm axle.
No flat spots allowed, the chuck type collet can handle different diameters of 8,00 to 7,90, but needs fully round axles.

Great, so all I need is a rotor <g>. When can I order ...

My Starfire currently has a DS-94, 12S, 1527/1.5Y. I'd love to swap out the rotor.

And the best:
You can interchange your old TF4000 and HDT-94 systems with our new rotors, because the needed motors and KV's are very similar!

So you're saving money and don't need to modifie your ducts or brackets for the fan, also the batteries could be used further.
Pending on the existing motors in your old systems the thrust may vary, but also the Apms in the same manner.

Some amps more and a bit more thrust, or some amps less and some percent less thrust.

here a picture of my test shroud of an old TF-4000. Gap in between blades and shroud is less than 0,6mm!

Enjoy!

These are awesome numbers!!

Batteries are going to be nice and cool. With these numbers flight times are going to go up. Wow, cannot wait to get a few of these for my models. They already fly well, but with power and efficiency well they are going to be that much more fun to fly!

Fantastic! I have had a Neu 1527 1.5y 8mm and a BVM F-80 kit set aside just waiting for this fan... ;-)

Rainer,
Do you think a Hacker A50-10L Turnado will fit the motor mount? Motor diameter is 51mm.

Hello Bob,

Our shroud is XXL inside, to get this dammed 51mm outrunners fitting without an extension, that was the target!

No idea if this motors will fit exactly with their KV's, but there is also a company in Germany which can "rewind" this motors for higher power and other KV's.

Also the SK3-Helidrive 530 will fit, now we have to tell them to use fully 8mm axles. Normaly they have 8mm inside, and outside turned down to 6mm, with a flat spot.
Or we can get someone to make jackets from 6mm to 8mm, ready to be shrinked on the axles.
I dont want to make extra 6mm chuck collet type adapters also.

If yes, theres still a flat spot on this 6mm axles, always a pain in the ..

Hello Paul,

We got around 6,2 Kilos of thrust with 12s and around 75Amps with the HET-800-58-530KV
And as posted 7 kilos on 12s and around 93 Amps with the HET-800-73-590,

But please excuse that we have not tested the Neu 1527 1.5y with 825KV yet.
Could be good for 10 - 12 s, but has to be improved,

The Hacker A50-10L can have it's shaft replaced with a full 8mm shaft. I use an A60-S shaft, no flat spot. Drops right in no mods. KV is 530.
I'll need get a fan when they are available.
Thanks!

Thanks Ranier. Honestly the #'s on the HET 800-73-590 are very nice in terms of thrust vs amps. I've had the Neu so long I honestly forgot what the KV was. I agree that it is probably more of a 10 to 11s motor for this fan. That said, I would still like to see how it performs.
