... I do agree with all you said but if there exist a beta version 12.75 in order to fix an altitude error ( very hight by the way I think is aroun 6200 feet high the error) why it is not available as beta for everyone ?
At least is one error less and we all profit of that. I think it should be published. JMCN |

Pretty stange that that 12.75 is not on their release web page. Also, none of the manuals have been updated since March 2018.
If you look at their FB page, not much going on there at all. It is ashame they don't communicate with us anymore, that was one of the nice things about EagleTree. |

Arduino Eagletree Vector Open Telemetry (Serial) -> TBS BST (I2C) Bridge
For those flying vector with their crossfire and wanting all the telemetry data back at their taranis:

Please add an option for MGRS instead of lat/long on the OSD. MGRS is much easier to use.

What do you guys think... What's wrong with Eagle tree vector updates why they have stopped releasing new updates for it? Whats reason behind it? I've tried email few times direct but no answer what so ever...Feel confused now about buying again from Eagle tree.

But they have not really done anything which is not a bug fix since they added closed loop control, which was over two years ago. So I would say that it is being supported as well or better than any other product out there, but is unlikely to have any new features added. |

What do i want to see as a Vector OSD 'feature'?
This would be a totally new market for Eagletree...$$ HINT $$ I want to see a re-write that would allow Vector to control an underwater ROV. Such as the BlueRobotics BlueROV2. Currently running Ardusub on the Pixhawk flight controller. https://www.ardusub.com/introduction/features.html They use QGroundControl for a HUD interface but it is extremely limited and buggy. They adopted the firmware from previous developers and finished it, but have a coding limitation that prevents features being added without a complete re-write, which they are unwilling to do. Even something as simple as the ability to pan the camera as well as tilt it, Sorry, not possible at this time (never), we can't (won't) help you. Forget about extra 'channels' for lights, servos, manipulators. My ROV is 30" wide x 42" tall x 60" long and weighs 412 lbs, so you can see why i need to be able to look left-right without dragging the ROV sideways. I just use the Pixhawk as the 'flight controller', and use the onboard Raspberry Pi to control servos, lights, manipulators through an SSC32 servo-controller connected to the Pi via I2C. But the QGroundControl HUD sucks compared to Vector's OSD. I personally need support for a 6-dof ROV with 4 lateral thrusters and 4 vertical thrusters. You'd lose all the GPS features because GPS signals don't penetrate water. Unless you integrated Water-Linked USBL GPS but that costs $10k and is unaffordable for most hobbyists. But we'd have that beautiful color OSD with artificial horizon, pitch, yaw, roll, altitude (depth) via pressure sensor, outside water pressure, speed, direction to home (inertial?), long/lat guess by inertial, possibly altitude above bottom (sonar), heading/position/depth hold (say there's a 3 knot current coming from 230*, thrusters are commanded to thrust towards 230* enough to counteract the current allowing the pilot to 'fly' the ROV as if there IS no current), all the battery info, RSSI (link status over tether), digital compass (magnetic), water temp, interior temp, leak alarm, etc. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Guys, if Eagletree doesn't check this thread anymore but you know how to contact them, could you forward this to them, please? I don't do Facebook, personally. EDIT: I finally found thier email addy (look at the bottom of the webpage, duh) and sent this there. Fingers crossed. |
