Brief* post-sunset flight of my DJI Phantom 3 Standard 09-18-19 (1080p 24fps**) (4) (7 min 32 sec)

Brief* post-sunset flight of my DJI Phantom 3 Standard 09-18-19 (1080p 24fps**) (4)

Flight took place (launched anyway) in the airspace over the 3600-block of N. Maple Ave. in Fresno CA. USA at 9:38pm PDT on 09-18-19 (or, "2019-09-18T21:38" or "2019 18 September" or even, "Sep. 18, Twenty Stick-Seriously-Fracked-Up-Stick" if you prefer).

Weather conditions at flight time were clear, temperature was 72F (22.2C), and winds measured with my portable digital "windometer" (as JD from JD Quad in the UK occasionally calls them even though the bloody things are actually called, "anemometers") were generally clam at the surface.

The music that you hear is zax from the coin-op arcade video game, "Outrun" (the song is titled, "Magical Sound Shower") by Sega from 1985.

This product is not audio (sound)-sensitive in any manner; the music may safely be ignored or even muted if it pisses you off.

That greenish-blue "flare" that you see shortly after takeoff was just me attempting (and failing rather miserably) to shoot down the drone with my Directly-Injected 488nm Greenish-Blue ("cyan") Laser Pen.
I intentionally defocused (widened) the beam so as to not risk damage to this wonderful drone's camera.

* Brief because I wanted to see if the drone's camera could image the ISS (International Space Station) as it whizzed by.
The ISS did not appear -- at least not to the naked eye.
Can you say, "The unwelcome party guest who got too drunk and ralfed in the punchbowl" again? :-\

Data from the SpotTheStation email that I receive: Wed Sep 18, 9:42pm, duration less than 1 min, maximum azimuth 10, appears 10 above WNW, disappears 10 above WNW.

** 1080p 24fps because this flight is expected to be at least somewhat brief (though still requiring at least four hours to process & upload); a full-length (20 minute) 2.7k video takes approx. nine (9) hours(!!!) to process and upload to YouTube.

I set the app to record at 1080p 30fps (only 720p lets you ramp the FPS all the way to 60!); I believe I'll just let it stay there.
And when I tried my tablet again during this evening's flight, I downloaded a fresh copy of the DJI GO app to it and I was rather surprised that the red nav lights stayed off.
I had originally quit using my tablet due to ***SEVERE*** latency issues, but did not encounter latency problems with the tablet on this evening's flight.

I edit (generally just to add music in post) with NCH VideoPad and then send the video merrily on its way to YouTube.

Sunrise flight of my DJI Phantom 3 Standard 09-20-19 (1080p 30fps*) (1) (19 min 10 sec)

Sunrise flight of my DJI Phantom 3 Standard 09-20-19 (1080p 30fps*) (1)

Flight took place (launched anyway) in the airspace over the vacant parking lot of a strip mall containing a Family Dollar store located at 3243 N. Cedar Ave. in Fresno CA. USA at 6:49am PDT on 09-20-19 (or, "2019-09-20T06:49" or "2019 20 September" or even, "Sep. 20, Twenty Stick-Seriously-Fracked-Up-Stick" if you prefer).

Weather conditions at flight time were clear becoming sunny as the spectral type G2 main sequence yellow dwarf star near the center of our planetary system rose above the horizon, temperature was 59F (15C),and winds measured with my portable digital "windometer" (as JD from JD Quad in the UK calls them even though the bloody things are actually called, "anemometers") were generally dead clam at the surface.

The music that you hear is just a random selection of songs that I picked by simply clicking willy-nilly in my OTHER MUSIC subdirectory.

This product is not audio (sound)-sensitive in any manner; the music may safely be ignored or even muted if it torques you off.

That red flare that you see approx. midway through the flight was just me taking pot shots at the drone with my 301 Prome Series Red Laser Pen.

* 1080p 30fps because a sub-20 minute 2.7k video takes approx. nine (9!!!) hours to process and upload to YouTube.

Brief* post-sunset flight of my DJI Phantom 3 Standard 09-20-19 (1080p 30fps**) (3)

Flight took place (launched anyway) in the airspace over the 3600-block of N. Maple Ave. in Fresno CA. USA at 8:03pm PDT on 09-20-19 (or, "2019-09-20T20:03" or "2019 20 September" or even, "Sep. 20, Twenty Stick-Seriously-Fracked-Up-Stick" if you prefer).

Weather conditions at flight time were clear, temperature was 72F (22.2C), and winds measured with my portable digital anemometer were generally clam at the surface.

The music that you hear are the songs, "The Whale" and, "Mr. Blue Sky" by ELO (Electric Light Orchestra).

This product is not audio (sound)-sensitive in any manner; the music may safely be ignored or even muted if it pisses you off.

* Brief because I wanted to see if the drone's camera could image the ISS (International Space Station) as it whizzed by.
The ISS appeared right on cue and its brightness was decent (est. magnitude -1 to -2) but it was too high in the sky for the drone's camera to image.
Can you say, "The unwelcome party guest who got too drunk and fell in the punchbowl" again? :-\

Data from the SpotTheStation email that I receive: Fri Sep 20, 8:05pm, duration 5 mins, maximum azimuth 51, appears 18 above WSW, disappears 13 above NE.

Weather conditions at flight time were clear, temperature was 86F (30C), and winds measured with my portable digital anemometer were generally clam at the surface.

The music that you hear is zax from the coin-op arcade video game, "Roadblasters" by Atari from 1987 (this is for glenesis on YouTube!), and zax from the coin-op arcade video game, "Afterburner ][" aka., "Afterburner Deluxe" by Sega from 1987.

The ISS wasn't even visible to the naked eye. Dammit! Fvk€d again!

Data from the SpotTheStation email that I receive: Tue Sep 24, 8:07pm, duration 2 mins, maximum azimuth 11, appears 10 above NW, disappears 10 above N.

** Warm weather in this context means an ambient temperature of 86F (30C) to 94F (34.4C) at flight time.
