You're right about the colors. I wish they would also market an almost ready to cover version so some of us could do it ourselves.

what i dont get is that for manufacturing it is easier to make wild color schemes on fiberglass than with a wood surface and monokote, why they didnt go all out with nice colors

eventually ARC models will gain power and get a stronger foot in the door.

The biggest reason I try to keep away from ARF's is the "cookie cutter" appearance of these things. I fly at a mixed field where there are a lot of trainers on the flight line and almost every one looks just like the one next to it. On the rare occassion that an ARF does come into my possession I immediatly strip it and recover. That can be a chore if you get hold of one of those shelf paper covered jobs. So much adhesive is left behind it takes forever to clean it up.

Hurry wiyh those ARC types!!!!

billm- father and I are still mainly glow pilots...I know I know. but i still have LOTS of fun with them. the oil clean up doesnt bother us in the least, but I'm like you when ever i recieve an ARF by some means we always tear it down and do quite a few mods on the airframe to suit our likings. and recover them. our club has about 30 members and about 5 of them are e pilots (including me
