Better than templates (but I'll come back to that). Here is a model wizard for the transmitter (similar to the one in Companion).
EZ to set up. http://www.open-tx.org/2014/06/02/lua-wizard/ |

You are given a choice between Create a model or Restore a model. Choose Restore and you can choose any of the .bin files (backed up models) in the MODELS folder as the basis for that model. You can even create your own "templates" this way. |

Wow! Many thanks, Scott. I now have it as a lua on the radio. This radio just gets better and better.

1 a Logic Switch that looks for |a| > x (" a" will be vertical speed, Vspeed; x will be the minimum value of Vspeed for an audio output ) may be turned on by some switch 2 this LS turns the vario audio on with a Special Function You can use this method to establish different limits for sink and climb. I agree with you not being sure if they are better. Hope this helps |

Boy, this is one hoppin' thread!
Hey, need a little help. I just downloaded Companion TX and when I try to upload the model settings or back up the radio, I the the error message below. I try what it says to do, but with no luck. Also, if I try to read or write the firmware I get a "DFU Util executable not found" message. |

Didn't open tx prompt you to do this?

Actually, yes it did. But I didn't have the radio with me at the time so I declined.

Well, can't you ask it to search for updates?
