Winter.
It's too late , Jan 30 and a snow storm, well 4 inchs. Hey , nature your too late the sun is on it's way up. Just the second time this winter snow fell and I had to lift a shovel. The last few years, well 15 or so, there's been more to move, Early sign of snow free field and dry ground , I hope Warmer days ahead whacker |

Out at 6:30 with the Simitri
3 minutes was easy By 9 thermals were trippin, and I got a nice ride out Landed 10 minutes later. Woo hoo winds came up during the day, and changed direction. If I was gonna fly at all later I would have to move my winch. But wait woo hoo , a cow is on the loose, well I white calve. walked down the lane , checked out the planes in my hanger and then headed south along the edge of the road for Truro, surely he doesn't know there's a Market there. Owners , think fence is perfect Had to bring my Simitri in just in case he decided it was worth thrashing and eating. Deer avoid planes in the field but cows, I am not gonna wait and watch. Next time I'm gonna lassoo the calve and take it to the Truro Market, and buy a new Plane with the proceeds Mooooo whacker In sny but windy NS |

More flying in Nova Scotia this weekend. I live on the south coast of Nova Scotia while Walter lives on the north, about 110 km as the crow flies. Quite often his weather differs quite a bit, especially as we get southern sea breezes and he gets northern ones.
Well this weekend, Saturday had my 3.2m Pulsar and 2m Mayfly our with plenty of lift under low winds and clear skys. Sunday was intermittent rain and I took my MIniMayfly (1 metre scaled down Mayfly - all of 3.1 ounces) flying at the Shearwater Gym. Monday (a holiday here) outdoors again with calm winds. Flew my MiniMayfly, Mayfly and Pulsar 3.2 REF. Although conditions were good, no significant thermal activity. In after noon I had intended to visit our seaside slope, but winds picked up considerably (30+ kph) so I decided to work on my Taranis programming. Photos are of my 2M RES E sailplane and 1M MiniMayfly |

Fog free Tatamagouche
Great fun at 6 PM, on a fine May Day
Flying between the bluff and the woods at the south Lift fell apart above a couple hundred ft, Lost 100 ft or so and then back up again, all this on the lee side of the bluff. Breeze was under 5 mph. Thermals trippin out of the tree line at the bluff, Huum I was gonna cut them down, before they grab me! Maybe not Concentration needed was intense. 8 minutes later I just landed. whacker |
