I ordered a Shinto J for electric a while back. I plan to use a Reisenauer 5:1 gearbox on a Tenshock EZ-1530 - 2300kv motor. I am thinking a 17 x10 or 17 x 13 prop will do the trick.
Supposedly, the 'J' is plenty strong and will make a great all around sailplane - slope, thermal, acro.
Just waiting...

Finally getting cozy with my second hand Shinto f3f. Winds let up enough at Cape Blanco that I finally got to fly it a few days at Slopefest. Here are a few pics and a short video.

Nice flying Lee, very nice to see the Shinto slicing through such lovely scenery and workable weather conditions.

That patchy fog sure makes me nervous!
Looks like the plane is setup well.....

Nice relaxing flight. Thanks for sharing!

The Shinto sure has nice lines! Of course all modern F3F ships do, prob why they fly so well.
