Sig Akromaster

I just finished my Sig Akromaster. This one is silk & Brodak dope. I built it with the longer wing span. OS .15LA, APC 8-4 prop, 2oz tank on muffler pressure. Plan on flying it on52' lines. I'm waiting for my spinner & leadout eyelets to arrive, or it would have flown allready! All up weight as you see it is just at 19oz. ....Gene

Thanks guys, I still have not flown it yet. I have been busy for the last few days setting things up for our" First In Flight" Jet Rally. That really takes up about 12 hours a day for about a week! I'll post a flight report once i get a chance......Gene

Gene..I am running a 1951 vintage KB Greenhead .19 on a Super Clown. That engine is amazing.

Army, that is cool! I have a collection of vintage engines myself & occasionally install one on something & fly it. The closest thing to what you have is my Torpedo .19 Green head. It runs great, but is really loud! How do you like the super clown?....Gene

I like your twist of the box paint job. I have a couple Akromaster kits waiting to be built and my daughter is still needs to finish hers. I might have to paint mine like that, and use my favorite orange and white combo. Really nice plane!

Thanks Duke. The color combination came from looking at my shelves full of dozens of half used cans of paint, and trying to figure out a combination to use them up that would look presentable. I didnt put a dent in it! Glad you like it...Gene

Looks good, Gene. The Akromaster is a semi-scale version of the Stephens Acro. That scheme was on dean Englehardt's ship in the late 60's/early 70's. So is the Twister, just scaled up, you should see what they look like with a pair of wheelpants!
