Orbit Charger and Power Supply

Orbit Electronics (Germany) has a pretty good deal on their Orbit V6 charger and K205 Power supply. However, the power supply only operates on 230 volts. Does anyone know if this power supply will operate on 230 volt AC in the US?

You would be better off getting a power supply here in the US.

What Andy said...

The power supply's weight is 10 kilograms (about 22lbs).

Electric power in Europe is 230V AC/ 50Hz. Only difference with US is the frequency (60Hz in US).

Most electric devices can handle both 50Hz and 60Hz.

And the US uses 120V, not 230V. Some devices will handle either, but most won't.

My Orbit charger left Germany on Wednesday and arrived at my door this morning. Amazing. Mind you, I think it took them 4-5 weeks to manufacture it!

Orbit had quality problems with the blue anodised cases and changed to the powder coating a few months ago. The powder coating is much more durable, but calling it 'blue' is stretching the truth a bit.

I agree There are three or four Orbits in use among my club members and they are all blue, ~1yr old or so. Atleast thats what my memory tells me

Blue - purple...looks good either way IMHO

Thanks.
