That's what I thought Dale. I'm usually not a fan of the slo mo stuff. A local flier did it. The video is short but I like it
Plus the sky looked great last night.

Greg could you give some brief details of your build? Wing skins / L. E. / covering / tails / whatever you did or didn't do to keep it light? Getting closer to scratch building something but it needs to stay light if there's any hope of flying it very often.

Sure. Foam Core wings.
Sheeted with 1/16 balsa
Leading edge 1/4" basswood backed by 1/4" balsa
Tails all balsa
Covered with monocote or ultracote
Light/small (i used 85mg hitec for aileron and i think 65's for elevator) servos placed all the way forward
I didn't use any bondo
I used a small battery up in the nose and no additional lead. I think it was a 400 mah 1/3 or 2/3 AA.

Good luck. They fly great light

Thanks Greg. I'm looking at something "completely different", but with it's long nose and some weight watching I'd hope to build light enough to fly in lighter conditions. Picking up some good tips here.

Plan for the tail surfaces for the P39 needed.

I am going to build my second P39.
However, I have lost my copy of the plan. Would someone link me to the .pdf of the drawing please?

I think you have two options; KingCobra or Airacobra. I think the fuses and stab are the same, but the fin is tall on the King and round on the Airacobra. I have both but not the plans.

Quick tip, upper right hand corner is a drop down called "thread tools", then click "show attachments". This will show images as well as PDF's if theyve been attached, which they usually are for group builds, etc.

For WW II aviation buffs, this is something to see. If you can't go to England next month, July 12-13 at The Imperial War Museum in Cambridgeshire, to see it in-person, watching this 2:30 minute video
might send chills up your back.

WOW! Just skimming through this thread because I just bought Brians white ME-109 from Joe Cromire at the 2019 PSS Fake Fest on Saturday. When I came across this post. Awesome video!

Thanks for sharing it.
