If you've never seen a B-25 fly at an airshow then you don't know how majestic and awe-inspiring it can be. It's such a cool airplane and I've seen many R/C models before, but this one takes the cake. Some guys in Germany created this 20ft wingspan twin Moki 400cc powered beast of a model and filmed the maiden flight. To see what they pull out of the trailer is just crazy, this thing is HUGE!
Congrats to all involved for a successful flight!

What a thrill that must be to build and complete the maiden flight on an airplane like that!!!!

1) I'm surprised it's R/C. Its big enough they could climb in and fly it.
2) It sounds like the real thing. 3) I wonder if any of the older Germans had flashbacks... Beautiful airplane! |

Yeah... but aircraft engines are designed for a different duty than motorcycle engines. These Mokis are "only" 25hp each. Your 250cc bike was probably pushing 40hp or more if it was liquid cooled and so many are these days.

Great airplane and nice trailer.
Props need more pitch, it wasn't just you. I was surprised the pilot waited so long to put the gear up. As slow as it was going, I'd have put them up as soon as it could no longer land on the runway it took off from. Full flaps on the first landing combined with the low pitch props was nearly a very bad mistake. Good thing that nose strut is a good one! ![]() |
