Hi Ralph i have drawed a Bobber in Sketchup for 1.50m Wingspan , u can download the Sketchup file here.

It is only the fuselage, formers and stabilizers, the wings should be not a problem ;-)

I also am looking to build a 1/4 scale bobber but lack of a decent drawing or photograph is proving to be an issue to establish a decent scale appearance.

Specs are there and images of the framing so shouldn't be a problem to scale it out.

Yes I did use those dimensions Dan as a basic starter for the plan, but the outline graphic shape that the Zlim site uses is not 100% correct. Have had to find suitable photographs to use to produce a more realistic shape but few view the aircraft from a true 90 deg prospective.

Interested to know details of the rear stabilizer span and width.

Something like this? I grabbed a photo, put it into Corel & took dimensions. From the Corel dimensions I think a scale could be determined? ( I had to squash the file size down to get it to load)
Like the wing...11.64" = 368" makes a scale around 1:32 I think. I'm not sure the dimensions will even work.

Try...
The Gallery files on the Zlin site
Contacting one of the dealers to ask for things you might need
Owners maybe?.. https://www.controller.com/listings/...n-savage-cub-s

If I had 125K that one in Little Rock would be at my local airport. Aside from the above, I'm out of ideas.

Dan

I just noticed you're in the UK. I'd think this bird would be around your neck of the woods more than here in the USA. Maybe check some airports close to you?

Yes I did find all those links, thanks. This is the best photo to use for the fuselage scaling: http://www.airplane-pictures.net/pho...savage-bobber/

I have my bobber built and am just finishing up the details, 149.5" span! I call it the "monkey trap " because I can just barely fit in the van 😊
My problem is I can't find the right wheels, anybody know if they are available separately?
