i have a couple GWS 7 and 8 cell nimh packs that i would like to convert as follows;

from:
OOOOOOOO

to:
OOOO
OOOO

to me it seems easy to do - just rip open the pack and re-wrap - but i wanted to make sure this could be done without too much surgery or if anyone has opened one of these packs.

Used to so it all the time with RS1600AA packs and still do occasionally with GWS 8x720s. You might rip a bit of the shrink on the individual cells but that's easily enough repaired/insulated.
