Another SU-27 Flanker

Having recently built and flown Thomas Nelson superb FFF scale Su-27 and several of the profile F-16 in this thread I decided to approach a jet from a somewhat hybred perspective.

As much as the profile are quick and easy it bothers me to see all that electronic hanging out on a jet FFF is great but can be difficult to obtain and a devil to paint, my Thomas Nelson SU-27 came out in excess of 20oz. Yes, I know I have a heavy hand.

Objectives:

Good Looking jet...SU-27 or F-16...SU-27 won out

Profile but hide everthing

Wt 15-18 oz

Power GWS350 - Mega (and anything else I could use from my motor box.)

Not FFF but "Woodland Scenes" foam panels, which are readily available in a well stock model RR shop and comes in 12x24" sheets, 1/4" - 3" thickness. Easy to carve sands and paints well with minimum of paint.

Ailerons and elevator, hopefully to allow easier turning at low speed.

Somewhat larger wing area than Thomas to decrease W/L giving enhanced low speed and landings.

Easy to repair and exchange motors.

Have I meet all these objectives only time /testing will tell and some calms days.

So here is where I'm at.

BTW this project was motivated by all the great work done in this forum

AUW dry (no motor or electronicss) 8.5 oz. Hoping around 7oz but I am happy . I woun't bore you any longer but are some pics.
