Motor for TopFlite Cessna 182 Skylane

What is the best brushless motor for the Top-Flite Cessna 182 Skyline Gold Edition. I would like to go with out-runner like Axi 4130/.... Not to much $$$ to spend.

Tech. Spec.:

Wingspan: 81" (2055 mm)
Wing Area: 906 sqin (58.4 dm2)
Weight: 10 - 12 lb (4540 - 5440 gm)
Wing Loading: 23 28 oz/sqft ( 70 - 85 gr/dm2)

Cheers,
Sinisa

If you are going ot build the kit you can lighten it up alot too.

The AXI 4100 series should power it just fine.

Thank you Fred for the response. I am considering to build the kit and to lighten it up as much as possible. The kit is wonderful scale ship and it was the reason for me to acquire it. In other hand, to keep it in scale and in same time light could be a big challenge.

Sinisa,

Do you already have the kit. I have one with the interior and robart strut that I'm not going to ever get to that I'm thinking about selling. Just a thought...

Hi Cadconversions

Yes I do have the kit for a while, probable 3 - 4 years it's collecting a dust here in my shop. Actually the kit is in my opinion, wonderful scale plane but was demanding great effort to be completed, and for me it was a chalenge to start working on it.

Anyway thank you for the offer.

Sinisa

This is an old post - do you recommend a Kv for the 4100?

Thanks.
