Mini-HowTo

Mobius Actioncam Vibration Damper Tutorial

Hello everyone!

The jello it's a common problem that many have with Mobius mounted on Multirotors. For solve that issue I made a simple vibration damper that solves the problem very well. This kind of vibration dampers are used also in industry and they work very well to RC and you will see

All you need to build the isolator :

-Wood (Two plates 45x45mm)
-Bolts
-Nuts
-Washers
-Steel cable (I used 1mm)
-Rubber Bands
-Cable Fixer
-Foam

On next video you will how was before to use this, and after

Tutorial - How to remove jello from Mobius Actioncam (2 min 15 sec)

And for results even better I made this update to my previous video and the results are even better!

UPDATE // Tutorial - How to remove jello from Mobius Actioncam (2 min 34 sec)

Hope you enjoy this simple techniques and also build some vibrations dampers if you need them

Thanks,
Gonšalo

Hello again!

Bad news, the Jello war is not over yet. Last weekend the sky was very clear here and that looks to affect the jello. The vibration damper will need some new improvements soon. I did a short Downhill footage and this was the result:

Unfortunately no, my country has very restrictive aerial videos laws.
To live happily, we have to hide away.

Why would clear sunny day affect jello?

Becaus the camera has shorter shutter times - different frequency of images taken for video...

ok - do u mean just with quads?

I've been noticing more jello on sunny days as well and at first thought it was a coincidence

BUT

maybe not.

I've been struggling with a mount for mobius that is completely jello free but not quite.

The first test that I did with this vibration damper was at night with fluorescent lamps and the video was free of jello. Then on next day (with natural light and some clouds) I tested it again and noticed that had jello and then I added some rubber bands to solve it (and was nice as you can see on my videos). Finally, some weeks later, the sky it's clear and much more brighter and the jello shows up again. That's why I say that the light intensity will take effect on the results.

Hello!

Another video that I made. I think that I should try some carbon props or better props like that ones from graupner. This jello needs to be killed!

Here is my version of Anti Jello Mount. Works like a sharm. Made a video with before and after.

Your design is simple and light. Congratulations.

I have done a similar mount which is heavier than yours but works also quite well. I think it's better than the X shaped one.

looks good

what size of fuel tube is that, and are those steel braided cables?

Does it work well in fast forward flight as well?

no oscillation?

Things are moving forward.
Choice of DIY Mobius anti-jello mounts increases quickly.
