Sport Aerobatic Flying Fun

The Giant Stick Sport 90 is a new take on the popular stick type aircraft. It's designed to accept Gas, Glow and Electric power plants and has a nice large front hatch that allows access to the wing bolts, and front cavity for your battery or fuel tank. The high wing mount and thick airfoil give it solid flight performance and is perfect for sport flying. The nearly 79" wing is a two-piece design so it can easily be disassembled to fit in your car. It comes as an ARF for $135.52 so you'll need to provide the power system and radio gear. [HobbyKing]

C'mon, you guys are not helping me! I am on the break point from going HUGE electric (re-do on the 2000mm P40 or this?) or to gas/oil engines... on this planes. Decisions - decisions.

I may have to go electric first and then move to gas - as I have all the parts for e power already.

When will RCGroups get a copy for review?...

I like the turbo-prop nose. It provides a fresh look to an old classic.

My hovercraft is full of eels.
Whoa, that's pretty cool! and big! 79" wow! Only a thousand watts? I've got more than that in my 50" Ultra Stick 25E. I need a cowl like that on it. That would be sweet.

Having owned the 40 size stick, they are very nice flyers. The only bad thing is the sticky backed covering that is very easily punctured. Picking it up you can put your fingers through it where there is no wood support.

I have no friends
I see one thing that could be a gotcha for electric with the hatch. There is a cross support going right through it. I am not a fan of having to get batteries in and out under things like that and through formers.

It may not be an issue depending on the actual size of the hatch however.

An EFlite 110 and 8 cell pack for an 8lb plane would be fun.

Cool take on a classic. I wish they had made it IMAA legal by getting the wingspan to 80".

I'm sure it is the VQ Stick. The trouble with VQ is the covering. Hobby People had the blue version of this for a while but have since dropped it. It is not a new design. Been around for quite a while.
