I'm still waiting on that motor to come so it will be another week before I can fly with the full on setup.

I am also interested in a BL setup for 2s packs. my plane flies fine with 2s on a brushed motor. I can hover at 3/4 throttle with it. There has to be a BL setup that is better than that, but all the numbers I see show different. Really low thrust.

Power, Nice Plane. STRONGLY suggest you unbolt that prop and bolt on a prop saver and a rubberband. With the prop bolted on you will do much damage to the plane that can be avoided. Do it before you fly the first time. Just trying to help.

i use 2S packs on most of my BL stuff...i have razor 300 in "C" gearbox with phx-10 using 11x4.7 and 12x3.8 and 12x6 props and get great results...

also have a razor 400 in a "D" gearbox that does equally as well in my opinion...

and that is all etec 2S 700's and 2S 1200's...

I am using a axi 34 on cc p10 with 4 hs55's TP1320 3s1p the esc is getting hot like 125 degrees hot the draw is about 9 amp wot and only 2.5 amp at flying speed. Can the 4 servos make the esc that hot. I can fix it by putting the esc outside the fuse during the flights and it is fine but in the plane it get too hot. Anyone else having this problem?

you are right , it is the bec, try plugging the bat in and just running the controlls around a bit, the esc will get quite hot without the motor. When I talked to CC about this problem, they said that we are right on the ragged edge of what the esc is capable of. The Regulator will shut down if it gets too hot, saving the esc, but pos causing momentary loss of controll. The guy I talked to said that cutting the shrink wrap over the voltage regulator would help disapate heat. Its the little rectangular box with 3 tabs on one long side, right next to the black battery wire on the other side from the fets. I have an older phoenix 10 that I did this to, seemed to help, I then cut a small heatsink out of copper foil and attached it with heat transfer paste and super glue. It still gets hot, but not nearly as hot as before.

What is the best Himax motor , gearing, and prop for this plane? Will it work on a 2s 1500 (Kokam)?
