Hi,

this looks very interesting for me. I want to switch from Graupner Hott to Jeti and search for a Solution to display Telemetry from the APM on the Display of the R/C Transmitter

Is there a little bit more Dcumentation available?

Greetings
Christian

How to build it and hex files (not sure with source code) will be available later on http://www.devfor8.com but it takes some time to finish couple of stuff and test it in flight.

Current status is :

- external device connected to same port as OSD, TX connected only so APM/MegaPirate must be configured to emitting OSD telemetry data
- hw is based on Arduino/FunDuino mini pro 5V/16Mhz with ATMega328. Besides of this is needed only one connector and one resistor (4.7k is used but can be slightly less or more)
- right now working on better support for V/A readings so board will work more like Jeti MUI and will support alarm after certain amount of mAh will be consumed

If you want to build one for yourself and use it even in alpha stage (it is not dangerous because it is read only device) leave me message and I will see what we can do with it

Hello Amper_CZ,

thanks for your reply.
It sounds very good.
At this time i found one Librarys available for Jeti TX.
For Reading MavLink it seems to be possible to use the MinimOSD Code.
My problem is, I can't code in C or come thing else.

To use an Alpha Version is not neccesary. I will have an look at this thread. It would be very nice if you update the State here periodically.

Yes, I used this library but updated it to support software serial and I also did couple of other changes. Small Arduinos have only one hw uart, used for mavlink on 57k , so Jeti com must run on software serial port - which is also my modification because standard serials doesn't support Jeti requested settings)

Source code will be published till end of April. I will be on //Build in SF for first week in April so it takes some time after that.

For start , here is required BOM :

- Arduino/Freeduino Mini 5V/16Mhz ATMega 328
- FTDI or other serial interface for programing Arduino
- resistor 4.7k (or something arround)
- servo connector with wires
- MavLink capable board , sending data without requests (have to be configured same way as is for MinimOSD)

Hi,

what do You mean with "MavLink capable Board" ?

If i use an minimOSD and as secondary an ATMega328. Is this the right way?

Like this way:
APM Telemetry out -> MinimOSD -> ATMega328 -> Receiver

Mavlink capable board means board sending mavlink data out (like APM in your case, Crius with MegaPirateNG in my case). It is mentioned just for sure that people will not connect it to MultiWii protocol output or Remzibi OSD outputs.

APM Telemetry out -----> MinimOSD
|
---> ATMega328 -> Receiver

This is how you will have it. Take TX from APM telemetry and send it to both RX on boards. TX on ATMega328 with my code is not used.

I have it this way :
Crius Telemetry out -----> MinimOSD
|
---> Bluetooth board
|
---> ATMega328 -> Receiver

and RX is connected only to BlueTooth

Hi,

thanks for sharing your code.

I want to compile the Github Repository, but i get some bugs. The library "FastSerial" is missing.
I think, the following messages are based on the missing library.

I found one at the Ardu CAM Projekt, but it seem this is not the right one.

Can you please load it up, that i can compile the Code
Which Arduino Version are u used?

Regards Christian

Sorry, I have FastSerial in Arduino libraries so I take it as standard part. It is on github, you can check it again.

Code should not have any specific required arduino version

Thanks Amper,
For me, it is working perfectly.
Maybe it is possible to send the needed packets to the APM, so there isn't the need of the MinimOSD?
