I love my ID.
Do a google search using keyword 'plank wing glider' or 'plank glider'. You will find thousand more copy cats with different names and proportions.

SO when we say a copy cat that is not true in the case of the bird plane. Were the Trex 450 and the HK 450 this is the case.

Ps Tim love the Gizmo

Oh I totally agree. Great designs have a way of ending up on HK's site as piss poor copies.

Anyone else having problems whith skyhigh hobby?
You are not the only one. It took 2 months and almost daily emails to get my opteryx kit. I have read that many peoply have had shipping issues with skyhigh hobby.. the opteryx does however fly well, if you ever get it. lol

How ironic....that would take about two days to build from scratch.

speaking of rip-offs

I paid for 2 opteryx back in Sept 2013. I've not been able to get an answer from him.
He has a note on his website asking you to be patient - all that does is make you wait until PayPal's time limit for complaints expires.

I'll be happy to post a retraction if I ever see anything from skyhighhobby but for now my advice is that you do business with people who actually deliver.

Can you accuse Hobbyking of taking sales from a product you can't actually buy?

He is not complaining about Hobbyking, he is complaining about SkyHigh.

There are probably hundreds of flying wings on the market. There can be no patent or copywrite of a flying wing format. Get over it. Personally it reminds me of the Boomer from Mountain Models. I built two of them.

Anyway, I look forward to the first reports on this new Bird Plane.

ordered a Sky high mini a couple of weeks back and

I read this thread that the guy is a bum, so i quickly went to paypal and filed a claim.

Waited a week after sending him some emails (nice ones) asking him to reply. When I didn't hear anything and the right amount of time passed, I escalated the claim with Paypal.

Yesterday I got a note from Paypal saying he's shipped and provided me with a tracking number which says it is enroute.

I'll keep you posted.

Looks like I'm 1hr 40min from the park. When I get all my gliders up and going it would be nice to make the trip up there.
