Aftermarket Plastic model decal site?

Someone once posted a site that sold aftermarket decals for plastic models. I found it to be an excellent source for scale covering schemes.

Didn't bookmark the site!

any hints?

Here is one reference:

Look at the Aeromaster line.

...and the Eagle Strike line as well.

Another good reference both available as link off the ESP page or directly at http://www.aircraftcolors.com/ is 'Aircraft Colors'.

You can also try

http://www.squadron.com/

They've got almost all the decals available on the market!

I think what dpoles was talking about is the fact that unlike most other decal sites or listings, the Eagle Strike Productions/AeroMaster Decal site display a good sized copy of the instruction pages for their decal sets that shows the paint scheme as well as the colors used and placement of the markings.

I maintain that website for ESP and the original concept was my idea. I was/am an avid plastic scale modeler and got very tired trying to figure out which decal set I wanted. 9 times out of 10, when I'd order a set of decals based on a written description, I'd end up with something I really didn't want. LHS's were notoriously understocked in after market decals so there was no place to go look at the set to see if it was correct. Even worse, Super Scale decals, big at the time, were in sealed envelopes so there was no way to see what was really in the package. Thus an idea was born and I talked then AeroMaster Decals (ESP have not come into existance yet) into giving it a shot. The rest is history.

I've had good results in purchasing a set, scanning and scaling them up for use on RC aircraft as well.

Doc,
they look absolutely great! I've just got some JetCal paper in A4 format, do you think it'd do the job?

I think there was a recent thread discussing several decal papers, some good and some not.

https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...hreadid=204954

I used paper from SuperCal and from MicroMark. Both gave good results.

Hey Dave,
thanks for the great link! One more question: Does anyone know what a European equivalent to Krylon might be?

Not really. What are you going to use the Krylon for? Painting the model or a clear coat on the decals? there are a lot of clear coats available and you don't have to limit yourself to Krylon.
