Next phone

After every attempt to revive it, the phone that ran in 2 Jesus Heroine races was finally replaced by a new copy of the same model & T-Mobile was voted off the island after 8 years. The best theory is salt got somewhere inside the touch screen area & couldn't be removed. It's still the only affordable phone.

There was hope to exchange parts from the new phone & stay on the old plan, but none could be exchanged. The mane board was drastically changed. The new version had nearfield communication & rearranged contacts. Maybe the old LED can be used in a flashlight.

The touch screen changed shape, so it couldn't be swapped. It's amazing so many different phones can be produced, yet there are still enough people to continually redesign the same phone after its release, produce variations of it for every carrier, produce new packaging, create variations of the Android load for each phone. That's the power of Chinese capitalism.

Virgin now has a better plan for $5 more, using Sprint's network. Despite all the talk of Sprint not having enough capital to upgrade its network & being on the verge of going out of business, their coverage was not obviously horrible.

The amount of money taken in by these companies is far beyond what it would take to upgrade their network. All of it goes to the CEO & shareholders. They're just big money making schemes who don't spend anything on the actual product.
