New Product

My F5B saw tooth props


Many thanks to Georgi Mirov for making this possible. Without you my friend this would never have happened.

The planform design is my own, custom pitch distribution.

Nominal size is 17.5" x 20.8 @ 75% diameter.

Fits very well on the B12.

Just a shame the ICE2 160HV decided to let the smoke out.

No more Castle Creations for me.

Wow, that's pretty awesome! Send a set to UIUC and get them to run some wind tunnel tests on it!

Andy, wind tunnel testing would be brilliant. I am hoping to work with a local universaty to achieve this.

However, these propellers are intended for some rather extreme operating conditions. They are designed to be used between speeds of 140kph to 300kph while consuming between 4000 and 6000 Watts at around 10.000 RPM. Way outside the operating conditions of your usual RC props and even wind tunnels.

My perhaps less accurate real world testing comparing the total energy in my airframe to the electrical energy consumed suggests total drive efficiency of above 50% however this depends on the forward airspeed at the start of the motor run.
