If he mounts a GoPro on his submarine we could be treated to some awesome video of 30" cutthroat trout.

Ok greased seals. Greased pushrods. and oiled valve and sealed screws and fittings.

THENNNNNNN the motor mount bolt didn't want to thread. So had to take it apart and work out the thread issue that probably caused the bolt to come lose to begin with.

So sorted that out and then realized that I had the hole from the original antenna still in the back of the engine compartment. Great, so I siliconed that and now it sets for another 24 hours to let that cure.

Pfft. So my new motto, tag line, or battle cry is "Ill submerge test it tomorrow." LoL

But hey thats where we are so far.

It's like watching an episode of Wheeler Dealer. You never know what you're going find after you take things apart.

Can't wait to see her running.

A go pro cam will drag a small boat like this right out of the water, not to mention throwing the trim right off.

Yes many things are possible, let the man get his boat working reliably first. Not much to see underwater anyway generally, unless you're sailing with other boats.

While I do have a helmet cam, and I do have an waterproof case for it, I think its better to let my kids snorkel in the pool and film the sub, than to let the sub film the kids. LoL.

So ya, Dive test today I hope. Silicone is curing, and TX batteries are charging. Fingers crossed, and we will see where we are tonight.

But if the WTC is secure, I don't know what else I'm going to have to do other than a repaint. heck the pool wont even be open untill the end of May. So I guess I have a while to wait up here. So its going to be bath tub work to test all systems. And even the gas fill valve shouldn't be here for another week or so. I guess that means I can dive but not rise.

Oh well, one thing at a time.

A leveller should be the first mod you make, other than that, it's just tidying it up as you say.

A leveler? Is that a device that interupts the dive plane control keeps the sub on an even keel when submerged?

Yes, an auto leveler (pitch controller) will keep your boat level when no stick input is made. The stick WILL over ride the leveler when you want to dive or rise.

I'll do it. Here is one.

YAHOO !!!!!!

Static dive test 1/2 complete. She will dive in place.

Once balast was full, I held the WTC under the water and . . . . (insert drum roll) ..

NO BUBBLES !!!! awesome

And the vent valve works perfectly too. No leaks there. Ran the motor, No leaks. Moved the controls for dive and rudder, No leaks there either. All is well I think at this point.

So all I need at this point is the fill valve and I can see if she will raise up as well.

VERY EXCITED !!

Nice.

That's a different looking vent valve you got there.

You need to download the pdf instructions
to help you trim your boat.
