com[are-TF Giant scale P-51 with Hanger 9's 1.50 sized plane

Has there been any body willing to do an in depth comparison of the two P-51's? Both are ARF, both big, and rather expensive.
Any one own or has flow both?
Kit details-design-use of plastics/foam
retracts?--any other -like ease of assemble-flight characteristics

Try this thread for the H-9.

Referenced thread does a good job for the "60" size; but not for the "1.50" as asked.

Been wondering who'd be the 1st to do a 1.50 H9 Mustang.

You are correct-and - I intended this thread to go to FUEL AND NOT ELECTRIC and I don't know how to remove or move it to fuel.
Any help moderators?

H9 vs GP large P-51

I reviewed both planes in earlier issues of R/C REPORT Magazine. No modifications or additions were made, or were needed, since I have to review the kits as delivered.

Both planes were great flyers, but the GP, being larger, seemed to fly just a little better.

I used a Saito 200 twin on the H9 and a US41 on the GP. The H9 weighed about 18 pounds, the GP weighed 20.5.

I used Century Jet retracts on the H9, and Robart on the GP.

Both are fine models.

P-51 etc..

That's not the reason. I deal directly with product manufacturers.

My LHS understands why I do this, too.

The Topflite giant scale Mustang is available in an ARF kit? I didn't know that any of the TF warbirds were available as an ARF! Where did you find it? How much? I see where pettit is referring to the GP P-51, is this the same as the Topflite kit? I knew that GP now owns TF but never knew the TF giant P-51 was available in an ARF!

OOPS! Great Planes, Top Flite, just a simple name switch. Same distributor, though.

Yep, TF Giant P-51 has been out almost a year now. Others on the way, too.

Stay tuned....

Thanks for the clarification Dick,

Do you know what happened to the TF Giant Corsair and if it will ever be available again. I E-mailed GP several years ago and asked them why they discontiued the kit but never got an answer! I would like to get one ( I prefer the radial engined planes and I like the F4U more than the P-47) but I can't even find one on E-bay.
