a few more pics from a nice afternoon

i was debating whether to put these up since ive already posted a few pics from my place already but i got some new angles from the other night (wednesday afternoon) around sunset.

this one was pretty cool its of the wheeling water tower and some 15 or so story office buildings in the backround.

this photo is the I-294 area where there are a lot of commercial buildings.

hard to tell where this one is because the ground is too dark

i was trying to get some "before" photos of a construction project but i might need to adjust my angle. they are building some new apartments. might be an eyesore from my house because depending how high they are they will block my view of the water tower and all those things from my house

That picture with the sun, that black dot in the middle IS CRAZY. What is up with that you think?

a big sunspot? lol. i think it has to do with the camara and it filters out the REALLY bright light (the sun) and replaces it with the black dot as to not ruin the rest of the picture? im not sure exactly but its pretty cool i think too.

I am crushed...

...that the view of the water tower will blocked by the new Highrise.... Guess all scenery is purely subjective. :-))

Very cool shots! I like the deuling cranes one the best.

BTW, the big black sploch on the sun is due to the saturation of the CMOS imaging sensor in the camera. As in, driving the AGC to the rails and the longer it looks at the sun, the bigger the sploch will become. ( the sensor is flipping out) I have seen this with the Aipteks when looking at the sun very briefly. I would suspect it has similiar effect with other camera's.

In most image editing programs, one would probably:

- Use a "color picker" tool to select the brightest color visible in the Sun.

- Use a tool for selecting homogenous areas to select the "black hole" area.

- Use a fill tool to fill the selection with the color.
