China Hobby 55c. I have some 1800. Should be able to get 6 minutes out of them.

I fly my ArtiZan with 1500 NanoTech 3s and get 6 minute flights, some throttle management, but healthy aerobatics I have used 2200 NanoTechs which fit without any foam cut mods, and get 8 minute flights. I have also used 1800, which are somewhere in between. I like how it flies on the lighter batts.

Is there a replacement for this plane?

Not one quite like this that I know of.
A friend crashed his Artizan recently & has been looking everywhere for another one.

I'm looking for a good, fun flying sport plane (NOT 3D!). I was hoping this was it, but I guess the quest goes on.

This one's a blast & will do any aerobatics you want.
I have a lot of RC planes & the Valiant 1.3 is still one of my favorites.

Is it repairable? Many parts are still on ebay.

Mine went into a flat spin when I taped 2 bullet cameras behind the canopy

I found a PnP at a local hobby shop but all I really needed was a replacement fuselage . I found one on ebay and now I have the original restored plus a complete backup.

I did get an FMS F3A Explorer a couple of years ago and it is just as fun as the Artizan so long as you fly it like a real airplane and trade altitude for airspeed and make smooth flying your priority rather than jerky extreme movements. I'm much more into smooth flying than jerky CP helicopter flying.

Parkzone Artizan on board video (2 min 59 sec)

I think this vid was when I caught a thermal and flew quite some time at zero throttle.

His was not repairable, but still has some good parts, mostly just the Horizontal, one wing & the landing gear, which always survives.
I know the FMS F3A Explorer flies pretty good, but just can't stand the looks, especially the funky looking little top wing.
Bigger pattern planes use those a lot, but I don't care for the looks of most pattern planes either.

The looks wouldn't matter much if you do FPV, but I don't do that either.
I prefer watching my plane fly LOS, rather than looking out of the plane.
Also most of the on board videos I've watched, are pretty boring, especially if the scenery doesn't have much to offer.

Ditto. I much prefer flying my plane from the ground perspective as if I’m a spectator at an air show. That’s the way I learned and that’s the way I like it. I only used the on board camera for a different perspective. A hammerhead stall or knife edge flyby just doesn’t look very exciting from an FPV camera angle.

At 200-1000 feet, you won’t notice the top wing. You could also keep it off. It only really helps with knife edge flight.

I plan on selling mine. It has about three flights on it.
If anyone is interested in it, PM me.

You might contact AMR in Quebec, Canada if anyone is looking for an Artizan. They show at least 1 bind & fly in stock.

Picked up all the parts to complete an Artizan airframe.
Already have all the electrics, including a 10 size 1100 kv motor.
Parts had no decals installed, so got to do the graphics better on this one.
Happy so far & I'm in no rush to finish it.
Have no idea where to store it either.
Totally out of space to store RC planes, but just can't stop buying. lol
