New Forum for Parkflyers?

There's a slow/indoor forum which seems to be where the parkflyer stuff is currently settling into - should there be a dedicated parkflyer forum?

Just to be a snot, I think all the GWS foam stuff, Litestik included, should be in the FOAMIES forum. Best Regards

imho the foamie forum should just be relabeled parkfliers. the litestick belongs with the slowfliers. the percieved intention for each forum is to put like minded fliers together. there is a world of difference between my crazy sparrow (foamie) and my litestick (also foamie). but lots in common between say a dustick (built up balsa) and a litestick, as is there between a campion (built up arf) and a crazy sparrow. to me it seems to be working very well.

So what in your view is the difference between slow fliers and park fliers ? And how do you expect new users to understand which is which ?

BTW you could have planted the seed in the "Site Suggestions" forum which is intended for that purpose.

I think the current division works perfectly.

There are lots of foamies that are not park flyers.

I think most folks mentally mix park and slow flyers together and it does no harm to lump them in with the indoor crowd, as much of the equipment overlaps.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

There is always some cross contamination in all the forums. The divisions between categories are not always clear. Most folk have a tough time making a distinction between parkflyer and slowflyer. To many they are the same thing.

There was a discussion a while back about making a separate 'Microflyer' forum. That too is presently lumped in with the slowflyer forum.

Allan, just what model characteristics are you interested in that are so well defined as to warrant being classified as slow flier?
