Vendor Name - Large , Turbine RC Helicopters

Last year (2003) there was a vendor at the WRAM show who had several large turbine powered RC helicopters. I need to contact them but cannot locate their name.

Does anyone remember who they are?

Thanks, Gil

I am not sure which manufacturers you are looking for but there is a very good turbine heli from Perth RC Models in Australia.

There is no info on the web site as yet but they are just about to finish a production run of kits. It uses Wren turbine driving a power turbine as per the real jet heli format. This in turn runs through a gearbox and into the heli transmission. Kits will be for a sport model and a Long Ranger. The Long Ranger is true to scale with the turbine located in the correct place and the cockpit is completely free of clutter alowing a full scale interior. I think the size is about 1/5. Full auto start from the Tx adds a element of realism and the model flys REALLY well.

Both of these links are helpful, but niether is the one I saw at the 2003 WRAM show. I reviewed the vendors list on the WRAM web site, but could not find the company that was there in 2003. They had some really large and spectacular turbine powered helicopters. Size wise these models were maybe 5 feet long with bodies that were 20or so inches wide. The mechanics and engines were awesome.

I have a project here at work that might be supported by this vendor if I can locate them.

The AH-1S fuselage is made by Len Mount in 1/6 scale, for both Turbine and Gasoline mechanics. Starwood also sells the mechanics.
Has lots of info on Scale. Look for DrTim on the Forums. He's finishing up a Len Mount Cobra. Really beautiful ship.
