Prop adapter for APC Props on GWS G-Boxes

Hi Guys,

Was wondering what prop adaptor i need to get to enable a GWS C box use apc-e propellors . I will be using a himax 2015 - 5400 motor with it ? I see on e-flightline.com the sell corbin gearbox shafts with the adaptor included , does anyone know any other adaptor which might suit ?

Hope y'all can enlighten me !

Cheers

I had the same problem when i bust my prop adapter that came from e-flightline. I havent been able to find any true 3mm adapters as of yet the best i can find is 3.17mm and 3.2mm which i currently use. Only trouble is u have to add a bit of tape around the shaft to prevent it from wobbling!!

sussex models does these

thats an apc Slow fly prop.

I have done the same by placing the hub of a gws prop inside of a apc E prop after drilling it out to fit the diameter properly!!

you just need a 3mm prop adapter for the 300/350 series gearbox/prop shafts.
i get mine from www.aircraft-world.com... fits perfectly.
hope that helps

the adapter you need is an MPJet part, most of the vendors that advertise here should stock them, MPJ8031 for the short version and MPJ8032 for the long

Hi Paddy,
I had same prob.
I bought a 9x6E APC and it came with the adaptor rings for all types of shafts - except the GWS 3mm
So I went to LHS with both items in hand & picked up a length of aluminium tube whose ID fitted shaft & OD fitted one of the adaptor rings.
cost me $3.50 and will give me....oh...about...200 x 6mm long adaptors!
