January 18, 2014 Club Fly-In

On a cloudless day with mild winter temperatures and a great turnout, winds of 7-10 mph limited the flight operations. Is there anyone looking at getting a local weather station set up? :-) But as you'll see below, there was still a good selection of planes in the air.

11 pilots were at the field this morning including Pat, Jack, Art, Tom, Mark, RayM, RayG, Wyatt, Ruben, Ed and Marc.

Also, very enthusiastic (and well equipped) potential new member Bernie and his friend came out to watch flight operations for a while.

These are the full scale planes that we shared airspace with today.

Spoiler Alert - Pat's Float Plane

Pat provided some spy images of his latest creation. To fool the press he gave his radical design the mundane codename "Pat's Float Plane". It's powered by a DLE-30 and has 18 square feet of wing area. If you want to watch this fly don't miss the Cochiti Float Fly!
