I have my own protection tape. I call it Slick Stuff
I have 3 mil ,5mil and very little 10mil

It is a UHMW tape from 3M but it's expensive.
A wood shop supply place might have similar for use on SAW Fences.

Thanks for drawings.

Big rudder servo is visible.

I wonder about Pull Pull connection to tail.

Ski looks like a good option.
I was wondering why the "step" on the bottom belly.

If you have reasonable success I am ready to cut both the 3mm version and the
6mm MPF mid size version.

Tomorrow I will preparing for the NEXT WAVE of cold arctic temps to arrive :>(

Bon Voyage

I Wanted to do a "Pull-Pull" connection, That's why two rods...but no adapted wires at Home...Must get some for the Head...

The step on Bottom belly is here to stand the fish on it during building. It is exactly high as a CD box. It was supposed to be sharped after that. I've explain it on post 2 Photos.

During those polar times, You can start building a Shark...You'll thought you are on Indian Ocean rather than Indiana's winter

Francois,
i googled the german word "Kantenumleimer":

Example, my F104 at Inter-Ex 2013. Front white strip is good enough to protect my all depron Starfighter F104.

That's why I suggested doing a glide test over softer tall weeds.

With the motor out it would weigh less but the CG , once determined , would be the same
place after you put the motor back in.
Just a way to minimize damage if your are too far off on your 1st guess,

I'd start near the LE of the FIN wings and then work back.
Who know with all that fuse surface and unusual wing shape and integration.
