Yes, would be nice to see how this new GyroOne compares to the older One. Hope the maual includes hang angles and more info then the previous manuals.
Keep us informed Frank and enjoy this good looking gyro.

Can't resist it, "Electric or Thermal" version

Can't wait to see this one with engine off spiralling up on a summers day in a booming thermal, will they do a Slope version????

PS, if the producer of this kit reads this, NO offence meant and good luck with the project.

Yes, my guess is that any thermals must be quite on the strong side for the GyrOne to work.... I am going for the electric version first!

BTW Slope flying in auto rotation works (using a RC helicopter without engine):

Slope flying a Heli (2 min 27 sec)

I do agree stick to the electric one first.

OMG, I have several times been accused of being mentally unstable during my modelling career but that has got to be the craziest thing that I have ever seen, RESPECT!!!

Sorry, still in the box - was a bit drowned in work and needed to get all the missing parts (motors, servors, etc.)... build thread coming up in the next days!

One thing I also ordered was a new pilot. The plastic fantastic the new Gyrone comes with is light and good and will be used for the first flights, after everything is dialed in I'll get a pilot from:

Sometimes some things get lost in translation....
Thermal could mean 'heat' as engine powered(or electric powered)
