As far as I know it is called a "Circuit Control board "

Volantex has a web site you might get some info from, it has a contact listing on it, they may be able to help you more ( my knowledge of electronics is narrow )....
they use to be called Lanyu Hobby, it has phone-e-mail-skype , links to contact them

here is a link : http://www.volantexrc.com

Hope that helps

I sent an email describing it, and asking how much it would be for a replacement, and that was about a week and a half ago, I wish that they would have a site with every part needed to build all of their planes from the ground up. Good news is, the last time I emailed them about something, they said that they were working on a store

The 4 ch. version has a Volantex LY2808CD-KV1800 Brushless Motor.....it has a Volantex EP-10A Brushless ESC w/ built in (BEC)

here is what it states concerning the ESC -The EP-10A ESC / BEC 5V / 1A ---using a 7.4V Lipo
it calls for 3 Micro or Nano size analog servo's .

You can search forums about the KV1800 size Motors and get a little larger ESC 18-20A for example and maybe some larger servos. But it has limited room you have to consider.

HK has a 1800Kv micro motor ( just an example ) for less than $7 dollars -http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=5430

use a 18-20A ESC ( example)-http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__15202__Hobby_King_20A_ESC_3A_UBEC.html

a couple servos (for example)-http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__22927__HXT900_9g_1_6kg_12sec_Micro_Servo_US_Ware house_.html?strSearch=micro%20servo

Now remember these are just examples for you to look at...you would need to ask someone with more experience on the exact parts you will need, these would probably work just not 100% sure.....But consider for about $25-$30 bucks your plane would be back in the air.

Something to consider.

I am actually thinking about when taxes come in, buying a super cub by hobby zone, it said somewhere that I can use the controller for more than one plane, if that is true, I'll buy the proper receiver, esc and servos to fit my plane, however, I did hear back from volantex about replacing with original parts, it is $16 for the board with servos, but after shipping it is over $40.

Wow expensive (shipping ) for such a small part

yeah i own a HZ Super Cub as well. Great plane . You need to look in on some Mods for it, LG strength, larger wheels, all that sort of stuff
there is a Super Club Club online you may look into, allot of great information about the Cub on it. Great group who helps .

here is a link
http://supercubclub.proboards.com/

some specs
Wingspan 47.7 in. (1200mm)
Length 32.5in.(825mm)
Flying weight 25.2 oz.(715g)
9X6 Prop

480 Brushed Motor
3S 11.1V 1300mAh lipo battery

comes with a Spektrum DX4e 4 ch Radio and 2.4GHz DSM reciever / ESC

That same Radio can be used with other aircraft, you just need to purchase a few Spektrum receivers. I also believe it can be bound to the Champ as well. I have not done that, I use the Champ radio itself and I only use the Spektrum for the Cub...all my other planes have the Tactic Radio and receiver set up in them.
That same transmitter for the Cub allows you to use Low rates and High rates as you progress. that way you do not over do the control surfaces ( Rudder-Elevator control)
The SC comes with a great owners manual and radio manual and even comes with a video disc you can watch that helps.

It's an excellent plane for both the beginner and the experienced.
You will enjoy it. It needs more room than your smaller Volantex Cub does, to fly, you have to remember that if where you fly is small. ( like mine is )

Let me know what you do, and check out that Super Cub Club for great information on it.

here is something else to consider, HZ also made a Mini Super Cub

http://secure.hobbyzone.com/HBZ4800.html

It is now discontinued from Hobby Zone

But here is a site called Small Parts CNC that has a list of upgrading that Cub
http://smallpartscnc.com/

That Cub at HZ looks allot like the Volantex Cub.
That site shows upgrades you maybe able to use on your present Volantex Cub
It has a landing gear set up so the current LG that appears to be weak on these little cubs will help that issue, plus allow a little larger wheel to have better clearance for the Prop when taking off and landing.

Here is a link
http://smallpartscnc.com/index.php?r...product_id=126

and here is a link to those upgrades, such as Motor and ESC and Servo's

http://www.smallpartscnc.com/MSCadap...%20Upgrade.pdf

this should help you get parts to upgrade your present Volantex Cub, which is almost like the HZ Mini Cub.

I am going to get the LG assembly for both of these cubs and the 4ch version already has a Brushless Motor ESC set up, but this 3 ch version will need upgraded at some point as well.

This should give us both the information to get the parts to do that.

Hope it helps you out.

Just got done with the maiden on the volantex Super Cub 4ch. Flew pretty darn good!

But mine isn't stock. I put a Ares Decathlon 350 NFP flight controller in it and I had to rework the aileron linkage as the plastic tubes around the rods had a lot of slack. I set the NFP controller up with my Futaba 8j and a Sbus rx commonly used in quads.

It was actually flying great but towards the end of the battery a pole jumped out and hit the wing!! So guess a new wing will be on the way next week

Working on a scratchbuild of a 32" cub, except it will be made from carbon fiber and covered in ultracote, and be fully 3D capable

Thread is here if anyone was interested!!
