January 11, 2014 Maloof Air Park

A group of four LA Aeromodelers made the trek south to fly at Maloof Air Park in Albuquerque today. RayM (El Jefe) brought his P-47 and F-15, Art brought his Extra 300, Juan was flying his O.P. Special, and I had my 74" Edge.

The weather conditions were quite nice with 3-4 mph winds gusting to 6-7 mph, but straight down the runway. Landing into a head wind isn't an experience we get too much at our field.

The local fliers (including AMA Assoc. VP Dist. VIII BrianR) were great hosts and the vast area of paved blacktop was a treat.

RayM's P-47

RayM's P-47 Thunderbolt had a successful maiden. Thanks to a new carb provided by Pat, the gasser took to the skies at Maloof Air Park.
