Question

ECX Ruckus 1/18th Brushed 380

How do I take the slipper off of the ECX Ruckus 1/18th Brushed 380. And adjust it to be tighter?

I believe you can remove the cover that sits over the spur and pinion gear. There are like 8 screws to take out. Then you should have access to a nut that is in-between the spur gear and drive cup and that should tighten the slipper.

I have tried to tighten it but I cannot get a grip in it to tighten it. It doesn't hold still at all

If you can't get a grip on it then you will have to disassemble the drivetrain so that you can properly access the slipper. Just go slow and keep track of how you tear down the chassis.

I have the older ruckus and that is exactly what I had to do to get to the drivetrain

take a pliers and jam it into the outdrive and tighten the nut. the tires cant move when adjusting the slipper.

I did it on that truck with needle nose pliers on the nut.
I just pushed the truck down on its wheels on the table to prevent it from spinning.
