Travelling to Holland this summer!

To all Dutch r/c bikers!
Beware!

I'm going to travel to Holland, this summer, specifically from July 1-4. Actually I'm riding my (real) BMW R1100GS all the way from Ancona (Italy), Trento, Bavaria, Karlsruhe, Antwerp (a 5-6 days trip) to finally end to Zwartesluis. I'm going to a BMW bikers meeting, there, and I intend to have my TT FM-1e R1 with me!!!!

I m only taking my r/c bike, transmitter, 12V charger, 2-3 batteries, and a few basic tools for the bike itself with me anyway. I have to travel light, since I'm going to carry all these in my bike's cases along with my other travel stuff!!!

I was wondering if we could meet during that weekend and have an impromptu race around there?!
My TT will be equipped with either a 13x3 or a 12x5 motor.

The place we are meeting is called Hotel Zwartewater, at Zwartesluis. The gathering's webpage is at www.europrez.com and the hotel's page is at www.hotel-zwartewater.nl

I intend to arrive in Holland on Thursday July 1 and leave by Sunday July 4, taking the roads south to Germany, Austria, Italy...

Any ideas welcome!

Oh... John (nuovaic) also said he might come too if family planning assists!

He Cool, you're coming our way Zwartesluis...never been there but is about 2 hours from my place so that not the problem. Only problem could be the date, that's around the vacation period here. So I have to check with (future?) miss boss to know when we go on holiday, keep forgetting

I'll let you know, could be cool

When I retire, in 2008, I will have the bike transported to the East Coast, and then ride it all the way to the West...

In a few (or a lot? who cares!) weeks...

USA map: http://www.50states.com/cap.htm

Well, It took me 3 full 18hr days of driving to get to OHIO (OH) to San Jose, CALIFORNIA

Its a 12 hr drive to OHIO to New York. That may give you an Idea of how many days it may take to ride accross?

On one trip, I've ridden from N.C. down thru Dallas Tx, then onto Denver. Co. in 4 days on the ST1100, back to NC in 3 days. It doesn't matter how many days (weeks?) it takes to ride across the US, Kevin, if Steliosh has the time.

Distance riders don't pick a destination, they pick a direction.

ahh... Kevin... Yes... I know that going from NC to NYC is about as long as going from the middle of Italy to the north of Germany... practically... 3/4 of Europe!!!!!!!!!!
But... as I said... if it takes a week or two more... who would care?! I will be retired then!

Right!
If your retired is especially doesn't matter how long it takes. Visit all 48. The time of year you travel to each area does need to be planned however...can't ride a bike in 2 ft of snow.
