V912 tail motor

Tail motor on V912 isnt working right, throttle up and the 912 does a FAST 360,so Im not sure what to look for,is it possible for the motor to go bad and only spin one direction? Problem is BOTH of my 912's are doing it,tried 2 tx's and same thing, really dont want to have to order from banggood and wait 3 weeks to fly again, local hobby shop carries blade helis so is there a blade tail motor that would drop in (or close enough to work?) This happened of course after a minor crash with both of them...weird.....THANKS

The heli will spin counter-clockwise if the tail doesn't provide enough push to hold it. It will spin clockwise if the tail motor is pushing too hard. However, you need to provide more info about what the tail motor is doing during these events; does it turn at all, does it turn slowly and never change rpms, does it spin CW or CCW, etc? BTW, all Blade tail motors of adequate size are wound for 3S.

Is spinning counter clockwise, tail rotor is spinning like it should, would a screwed up gyro do this? Pushed up collective and it was air born spinning like a top For a second it started to fly right then...nope

Under most circumstances, I would say the tail motor is simply too weak. It's quite common. However, as you stated it occurred to 2 helis after a slight crash, it does seem like other it could be a gyro or FET. I guess I would replace the tail motor first.

I have this exact same issue with my V912 . It started Today.

When I apply throttle it makes complete turns. Counterclockwise.

What is causing this ?

That means the tail motor isn't holding the tail. Most likely it's too weak. They don't last long.

I bought a v912 about 3 months ago and have been flying mine with joy pretty
much everyday without any major issues. I had the factory battery crap out on me after about 30 flights and luckily already had a replacement.
Got my swash plate balanced, did the tx full servo throw mod, moved the battery forward and taped 2 quarters to the front of the battery to find the balance point where the heli hovers perfect without any electronic trim or compensation with the swash plate.

4 days ago I was flying her outside and while I had it in a slide, I smacked the power line (the actual line, not pole) and the heli went into an uncontrollable spin but I managed a smooth/soft landing. My throttle was still working thank god just spinning in circles really fast. Anyways, ever since, it has been doing what your heli is doing from what it sounds like. Check your tail motor gear (the brass piece, it stripps really easy) and the actual plastic spurr gear may has slightly chewed up teeth or like mine have spots on the plastic gear that have no teeth so it has bad spots in it. Replacing my motor and plastic gear thursday.

I started to fly two years ago 9958's V911's very good/ still have them. Little later V929's WL Toys quads. Worked fine still have them. Fast foward WL toys dominate clone heli/quads etc. Recently bought V262 big quad. Issues QC motors are bad news/ pinion gears are extremely soft and wear out in no time.
WL Toys has lower the standard and motors are not very good.
Yes birds fly, just order extra motors, cause your going to need them. Recent review of six motor multi rotor V323 motor failed . Brand new , they sent him a DUD !!

Make sure you have the tail rotor on the correct side of the tail boom... if you change the tail boom and reassemble it with the tail rotor on the left side of the boom, instead of the right.... it looks correct enough, but when trying to take off it does wild spins.... don't ask me how I know this.... just saying

Edit: Also, make sure there is no grass or anything wrapped around the shaft of the tail motor... if there is junk wrapped around the shaft between the tail rotor and holder, the tail rotor cant turn fast enough. Take off the canopy and in plug the main motor, then turn on and bind it, then test just the tail rotor without the main turning... that way you can hear what the tail motor is doing

did you replace the tailblade by any chance, or put a tail blade back on?

make sure its been put on the right way and also its not slipping on the shaft.

If the blade is on the wrong way it will produce thrust in the wrong direction or in the case of blades that only work one way produce very little thrust.

What type of spin is it, is it slow or is it fast. slow would indicate not enough thrust fast would be very little, wild none at all
